Beyond that we turned north on I 49 towards Shreveport. Although this was an interstate it seemed less so than what we had known the last few days. There was very little traffic, and almost no big trucks making it more like a backroad. It was really the best kind of road for getting from one place to the next in that you can ride at highway speeds without the traffic that normally goes with it.
Today we probably saw the last of the signs for aligator farms and airboat rides for a while. Saturday we head through Arkansas and Texas into Oklahoma. Forecast calls for no rain but temps in upper 90's with heat index of 105... we may be looking for some rain to cool down soon.
