Days eight and nine...

We have been resting for a couple of days here in Las Vegas, enjoying the 107 degree temps out by the pool and on the strip. A stop at the Hoover Dam on the way in and a few spins on the slots and a few pina coladas at the pool bar... tonight we see Tina and Tony's Wedding. Also I spent some time removing the horn from the bike and blowing the water out with a hairdryer... you will recall it lost it's potency after the floods of Louisiana. At the Hoover Dam, as we were having lunch Debbie asked if I felt the building vibrate, I blamed it on the parking garage there but a few minutes later we heard of the earthquake in California. I still think it may have been the effects of the garage but they did say effects were felt as far east as the Las Vegas valley.

Tomorrow we leave early for the ride across the desert to California in hopes to get some miles behind us before it gets too hot. The good news is that it has been a long time since there were 2 earthquakes within the same week in L A.

Is that a new "Hoover Dam" sign? That's a great picture. Your odds are really good now, like you said, for no repeats in CA for earthquakes. Miss you guys!
